Enterprise Power BI & Business Intelligence.
We architect robust semantic foundations that turn massive transactional data into trusted, real-time executive intelligence. No broken DAX measures, no slow dataset refreshes, and zero conflicting numbers.
The Semantic Model: Single Version of Truth
A great dashboard is only as reliable as the data model beneath it. We build strict star-schema dimensional models (fact tables connected to shared dimensions) that compress data efficiently and guarantee consistent calculations across all departments.
Our Semantic Standards:
- Kimball-method star schemas preventing bi-directional ambiguity
- Single-source DAX measures for Revenue, Margins, OEE, and RevPAR
- Strict time-intelligence calendars supporting custom fiscal years
- Standardized calculation groups allowing dynamic currency and period switching
Direct Lake vs. Traditional Dataset Modes
How Microsoft Fabric's Direct Lake mode changes the trade-off between report performance and data freshness.
Traditional Import Mode
Loads a snapshot into memory. Very fast queries, but requires scheduled refreshes (often taking hours) and duplicates data in the Power BI Service.
DirectQuery Mode
Queries the source database directly on every user click. Data is always real-time, but visual load times are slow and put heavy stress on operational databases.
Microsoft Fabric Direct Lake
VertiPaq engine loads Delta Parquet files straight from OneLake into memory without copying data or executing SQL query translation.
Row-Level Security & Access Controls
Ensure that department managers only see data corresponding to their assigned territory, branch, or cost center, while C-level executives retain full consolidated visibility.
- Dynamic RLS integrated with Azure Active Directory (AAD) user principal names
- Object-Level Security (OLS) concealing confidential wage and margin columns
- Separate development, test, and production deployment pipelines
- Automated usage tracking and executive adoption telemetry
